Wales Goes Pop has made its first line up announcement for their 2019 festival and it includes Busan surf rockers, Say Sue Me. Wales Goes Pop is billed as ‘an all-ages pop weekender over the long Easter bank holiday in Cardiff!’
Signed to Damnably, Say Sue Me have made quite the name for themselves in the UK, touring extensively alongside Japanese rockers Otoboke Beaver and headlining their own tour, they have also played festivals such as Brighton’s Great Escape and Focus Wales.
The group recently released their four-track EP, ‘Christmas, It’s not a Biggie’ on white 12″ vinyl. The EP features the title track from 2015, ‘Out of Bed’, ‘Too Expensive Christmas Tree’ and ‘After This Winter’.
Christmas, It’s Not A Biggie It is a carol song in surf and rockabilly style of the 50s ~ 60s. You can expect someone might have a hard time during this period because of the coldness of winter, and be sad and depressed about the passing of another year. Yet strangely most people during Christmas seem happy and warm. I want to think that Christmas is not a biggie, but for some reason I feel like I can be a better person during this time.
The EP is available to purchase on their bandcamp.
Three-day tickets for Wales Goes Pop! are already on sale, and one day tickets are due to release in January.
