The Guardian has published a list of the albums the newspaper considered to be the best releases of 2018 so far.

Alongside releases such as Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, Arctic Moneys’ Tranquillity Base Hotel & Casino, and Lily Allen’s No Shame, Korean artists Park Jiha’s Communion also ranks.

Park visited the UK and Europe earlier in the year for a series of performances. Her mix of traditional styles and instruments with popular, modern musical trends has brought her much attention, as it has for bands such as Jambinai.
Communion has seen reviews in the likes of Mojo and The Wire, and was noted by the BBC to be one of 2018’s ‘most exciting releases‘.
